autumn glow

what do you love about autumn?
is it the crisp, clean air?
the way the leaves turn to oranges, reds, and yellows?
or is it that it just glows because it is such a beautiful time of year?

roller coaster

love sends you in all different directions, just like a roller coaster but if we believe that love conquers all, then our souls will always rest peacefully.

Big Huge Changes!

So it was a long time coming but I finally cleared out my gallery of my manipulations. I now have 213 items in my gallery when I had 302 (that's a little depressing). Back three years ago when I started digital art/manipulations, I admit - I jumped on a HUGE bandwagon. It was a very popular thing going on around here (still is) but really it was just for fun and possibly called a hobby. When I got my first DSLR back in March 2008, I knew that things were going to be different. Instantly I saw a new beginning on the horizon. Expressing my creativity through photography is where I want to be and what I love. I just get tired of seeing the same models and backgrounds used for creating art. Now do not get me wrong - I like what YOU do. It is just not for me anymore. I just didn't feel that using other people's photos to create something was fun anymore. I deleted almost every piece I used with a model from dA. I also deleted most of my treescapes and landscape manips as well - they just weren't art to me. Using a texture and changing hues and contrasts isn't really much of an art in my opinion. Well you will be happy to know that I couldn't let go of some of the manips because they brought me closer to you or they were made for a very important reason. I made a lot of friends because of my work but you also stuck with me when I stopped doing them and focused on the important thing - photography. I do have every piece I ever created backed up on my computer, so don't think I got rid of them for good. =]

For those of you that followed me through the digital art and stuck with me through my photography - I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all wonderful!

I only hope that you all will continue to be happy with what I share with you.
